Founded in 2016 by registered architects Rory Ryan and Michael Lamb, the practice combines senior-level experience with a collaborative, client-focused approach to design and delivery. The practice specialises in aviation, multi-residential, fit-out and interiors, private housing and industrial/logistics projects, working with developers, commercial clients and private homeowners on projects typically ranging from €1m to €50m.

The practice provides full RIAI architectural services from concept design through planning, tender and construction to completion. This includes feasibility studies, briefing and site analysis, planning applications, detailed design, construction documentation and on-site delivery. Each project is developed with a strong focus on buildability, cost control, programme certainty and long-term performance.

RYAN+LAMB Architects has particular expertise in live operational environments, including airport and high-footfall commercial settings, where phasing, stakeholder coordination and continuity of operations are critical. The practice has delivered projects in collaboration with organisations such as Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) and Aer Rianta International (The Loop), shaping passenger-focused retail, hospitality and workplace environments.

In residential architecture, the practice designs bespoke private homes, extensions, renovations and multi-unit housing developments. Projects are defined by careful spatial planning, daylight optimisation, material sensitivity and long-term adaptability. All supporting modern family living while responding to site constraints, context and planning requirements.

The practice also delivers complex fit-out and interior architecture projects across workplace, retail and hospitality sectors. Technical and specialist services form a core part of the offering. These include Building Information Modelling (BIM), daylight and shadow studies, photomontage and CGI visualisation. RYAN+LAMB Architects also provides Assigned Certifier services under BCAR, Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) roles, and full compliance certification.

Additional services include land registry mapping, declarations of identity and conservation architecture. With Grade III Conservation accreditation, the practice works on protected structures and historic buildings, balancing contemporary design with conservation best practice.
