BuJo, Central Plaza

BuJo Burger Joint,
Central Plaza, Dublin

BuJo's newest restaurant occupies The Annexe at Central Plaza on Dame Street, introducing a contemporary hospitality use within one of Dublin's most recognisable protected structures.

Good design creates an environment that reflects the values of the people behind the brand. The project challenged us to balance architectural heritage with the demands of a modern, high-volume restaurant. Ultimately, preserving the building's character while creating an experience that feels fresh, vibrant and unmistakably BuJo.

RYAN+LAMB acted as lead architects, providing design, conservation and project management services in collaboration with NineYards. The design focused on improving circulation, increasing seating capacity and supporting the operational requirements of the restaurant within the constraints of a historic structure. The scope included securing planning permission for works to a protected structure, coordinating structural, mechanical and electrical consultants, and overseeing the project through regular site meetings.

Projects like this are about far more than creating a place to eat. They are about shaping an experience. Bringing together architecture, interiors, branding and hospitality, we helped deliver a vibrant new destination that reflects BuJo's personality while responding to the unique character of Central Plaza.
